I was able to quilt a cute patriotic quilt for our Guild’s Community projects.
Bits & Pieces
Guild Project
This was such a fun quilt to quilt. I put on some heavy orange thread and just doodled. I am so glad our Guild makes Community projects so important. I gives me such joy knowing that a little one will get this quilt.
Modern Pinwheels
I have not had much time for quilting lately with the new job. I went from quilting about 4 hours a day to at the most 4 hours a week. I am sure I will get back into the groove once I get used to the 12 hour shifts. This is one of my new favorites. I love the white with a little color. The quilting was so much fun to do and I LOVE the texture. I am sure that I will be doing another one like this in the future. The pinwheel blocks were leftovers form the baby turtle quilt I did earlier in the summer. Hope you all don’t mind the picture overload! I used a white on white stripe for the backing fabric.
On the long-arm
Having fun working on a personal project. Keeping the quilting “modern”.
Curves Table Runner
I am working on a new curves pattern. The colors match my new kitchen. The backing is the same as my kitchen curtains. I am doing the quilting on my Bernina. I was worried that I had lost my touch with the domestic machine – not the case. I guess it is like riding a bike. I love the detailed quilting. I am doing the same pattern in each color – just changing the threads to match.
