I am in love with this turtle. I love sea animals – especially sea horse and turtles. Maybe by the end of the summer, I will have the pattern ready for purchase.
Bits & Pieces
New Stitch sampler
I have had so much fun making a new stitch sampler. I made it for a class sample on free-motion fills and feathers. I love the look of the gray thread on the different colored fabrics. This is a great way to try out new stitches.

A finish
I love the way this quilt turned out. I am still learning how to work through designs on the long-arm instead of starting and stopping or backtracking so much. It is a slow process – but with each quilt I am getting better at it.
Cena brought me 2 threads to use in this quilt. I was going to use green thread in the green fabrics as well, but I did not like it. The purple looks so cool anyways. I also really like the variegated thread in the border.
On the Long-arm
Another wonderful, colorful quilt on the long-arm. I am really enjoying doing quilting for others. I get to see (and touch) some really awesome quilts and add a little more love to them.
I took a picture of the quilt, to help me come up with some quilting ideas. I print it out and then use an overhead projector sheet to play around with some ideas.
There was a lot of thread ripping going on with this quilt. I have not quite figured out the “start at the top and work down” that is required on the long-arm, but I will get it. I am so used to starting in the middle and then work all around the middle. I have always loved learning and mastering a challenge – so bring it on. =)
