Sorry – so long between posts. I have once again decided on a major project at the last minute. A sweet couple in our church is getting married. There are circumstances that compelled me to make a special quilt for them. So with just a month to come up with an idea, piece and quilt a “wedding quilt”, everything else has been put on hold.
I decided to use an old pattern – the old fashioned wedding ring block which is also called the crown of thorns block (yes, I had to shake my head at that – but I love the block). Her favorite flowers are purple hydrangea and I just happened to have the perfect fabric in my stash.
The quilt ended up being about 60 inches square. Just big enough for them to cuddle. Thankfully they are both quite thin. =)
I finished the quilting today – the wedding is in 5 days, which is plenty of time to get the binding and label on!
