I had the great opportunity to quilt this beautiful quilt for the Mobile Quilter’s Guild. It is the Opportunity quilt for their 2017 quilt show. The quilt features many different types of appliqué techniques. It is not the color palette that I usually work with so I actually had to buy some thread. =) I used a double layer of 80/20 batting which gave the quilt such wonderful texture. This really helped the quilting “pop” in areas where the fabric was busy. I loved the white space in the border.
