I participated in a group challenge project this year. It was called a slice quilt. This is not a new concept in the world of quilting. Our guild is doing 2 of these quilts as a special display at our next Quilt show in April 2014.
This is probably the hardest challenge that I have ever participated in. One, it was based on a piece of art from a local Pensacola artist. Second, my slice was a building with signage. Lastly, it was supposed to be a specific size. ( I made it larger to begin with but all the tread work and quilting shrunk it about 2 inches in length.)
It is done – and turned in. Here is a sneak peak of my slice.
I love it Ingrid!! You are so talented. WOW!
