I have been in a creative mood but with a short attention span – so I have been making some zippered bags. They will all be available for purchase in our store.
This bag has some dimension piecing. The multicolored fabric was folded into pleats and then stitched to the red. It is lined with a bright, heart print.
This bag was pieced from scraps left over from my Evening in Times Square quilt (pictured below) that I made several years ago. I love doing improvisational piecing and the fabrics were so fun to play with again. It is lined with a soft blue floral print.
This bag would make a fabulous clutch. It was pieced from corner units that had been trimmed off of a snowball block. The lining is a multi-colored and black stripe.
The piece of fabric for this bag was hand-dyed using a shaving cream marbling technique. I often do this with paint, but I was at a class and we used thickened dyes instead. My kids use this type of bag for their school pencil case – I use it for my scissors when going to classes. It is lined with a bright yellow batik.
