I am ususally pretty consistent with the types of fabrics that I use in my quilts. I try to stay with high quality cottons. Well…I say that in theory but I do love experimenting with fabrics. In the past I have used organza, silk, fleece, velvet….and I am sure a few others. This time I tried using corduroy as a quilt backing. It is a thin pile (which means narrow ridges). I was given about 6 yards of it several years ago, so I decided why not?
I quilted it on the long-arm and it did great. I love the look of the quilting on the back. It would make a lovely picnic blanket or for the late fall games as a lap quilt.
I have added this quilt to the store.
