Just looking at this quilt loaded on the long arm makes me smile. We decided to use 2 layers of batting (cotton and polyester) so the quilting would pop.
This quilt is huge – 100 inches square. The borders are amazing with the beautiful appliqué in the 2 corners and LOTS of open space. The borders took several hours each as there was lots of ruler work and starts and stops.
I took picture of one of the open corners, so that when I got to the opposite side of the quilt I could make it look the same without unrolling the top.
