I thought it would be fun to do a give-away as a way to celebrate.

I will be giving one person a copy of my Bling pattern. All you have to do is leave a comment about what quilts/quilting means to you. Quilting has made such a huge impact on my life and would love to hear some of your stories.

I am not a quilter personally, but my mother is. I have a double wedding ring quilt on my bed given to me as a wedding present. All of my children and my husband have their own quilts. My daughters dolls even have quilts. :) Quilts are a huge part of our family...and a great reminder on how much we are loved!!

I am new to quilting since I retired from nursing in 2011. So far I have made 4 and am amazed how much I enjoy watching the design come together. What I enjoy the most is the variety of quilting projects - in other words - quilting is not just making a blanket or throw. My goals are to design my own quilt and learn free motion quilting on my sewing machine. I am so glad I found this site and look forward to taking some classes.

I have had an interest in quilts and quilting since before I was married, 63 years ago. An aunt got me started a sister in law added to the interest,as she and I shared the interest. My greatest joy has been the interest my Granddaughters and now Great Granddaughters have in quilts and quilting.I am "Blessed" to have them interested in that part of our family heritage. I prefer hand quilting but have learned to love and appreciate the machine quilting as I will never in this lifetime get all finished that I want to :>)
