I am starting a new BIG project. I hope that this will be my next show quilt. I always have a little “knot” of nervousness when starting a new show quilt.
The design is a enlarged drawing that started as a 8×14 doodle.
So far, I love my colors – much different than my usual hand dyed fabrics. I an using clean clear prints, black and black and white prints.
This is my first section. I am piecing some tiny circles. The inner circle is 1 1/2 inches. The centers do get a little bit smaller – they will all be pieced by machine. One is way too small – only 1/4 inch – so it will have to be appliquéd.
