In August, we took a quick trip to Texas to see Mark’s family. I had just finished a quilt and wanted to get the binding done on the trip. What I didn’t know is that my niece would be leaving for college in a few weeks and did not have a quilt for her dorm. Peggy, my mother-in-law, saw the quilt and bought it for her. Amazingly, I finished the binding in time to leave it there. What was great for me is that I finally finished a quilt that had been started more than 5 years ago. Initially I had started this quilt for Emilie but then she changed her mind and went with a grey color scheme for her room. I do not usually work with batiks, so this quilt sat for quite awhile. I am so glad it has a new home and it is FINISHED.
